Took a day trip from Marseille to Nice. First, check out this beach view if you even can without barfing. That’s technically in Villefranche-sur-Mer, which is a - sigh - *tolerable* part of Earth. And what does one do while there? One visits #10 Avenue Louise Bordes to see the amazing Nellecôte, a 16 room mansion from the 1890’s, which briefly housed The Rolling Stones and their Rolling Stones Mobile Studio while they worked on the Exile On Main Street album. We really got our Rocks Off & we were Happy to see this piece of rock music history even though my shorts are becoming Torn And Frayed.

Oh, and the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio (responsible for “Exile” and albums by Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Who, etc.) is now in the collection of the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Grand re-opening July 1!
